MindCo. offers exceptionally curated therapeutic and counselling groups pertaining to diverse issues or needs of individuals, couples, and families. A few groups we offer include: the Veterans Therapeutic Group, Awakenings, and Single & Strong Groups.
Veterans Therapeutic Group
- Learn Strategies to improve your psychological and emotional health
- Learn approaches to reduce stress in your life and boost your health and wellbeing
- Improve communication skills to resolve conflict and enhance relationships
- Groups are in-person or virtual
- Groups are 1.5-2 hours in length
- Groups are free for veterans with an active K number
*Also individual, couple, and family therapy available for veterans and their families.
Counselling Groups
Our counselling groups are closed format, semi- structured process-based, psychoeducational, and psychotherapeutic group for adults that are experiencing emotional/ psychological challenges (i.e., anxiety and depression) or simply want more inner peace and contentment in life. The group meets once a week for a duration of 90 minutes for 8 weeks and is facilitated by clinician(s) in conjunction with other practitioners that have extensive training and experience in the field of mental health. The group provides participants not only the opportunity to share and support one another but importantly to gain knowledge of effective approaches/ strategies to adopt into one’s own life to reduce stress and develop inner peace.
Support Groups
Our support groups bring individuals dealing with certain matters (e.g., single parenthood, eating disorders etc.) together once a week for approximately 90 minutes to share, process their feelings and emotions and learn useful strategies/ techniques that will help with emotion regulation. Our support groups are non-structured groups facilitated by knowledgeable practitioners that provide information and resources helpful to address issues participants are seeking support for but also process and share their experiences. Our group services give you the option to get a refund After the 2nd session and Before the 3rd session if you are unsatisfied with the group and would like to stop attending the group altogether, minus a $50 administrative charge which will be held back by MindCo.
